  • Lee Woods Purchases American Giants Museum

    Collector Lee Woods of Giants Garage in Hot Springs, AR has purchased the American Giants Museum from the Atlanta Betterment Fund. The purchase includes the property and building. The giants are still on loan from American Giants. Lee will be working with Joel Baker on future plans and now the museum will benefit from two large giant collections. Huge thank you to Bill Thomas and the Betterment fund for their years of service and making this dream a reality.

  • Minnesota's Bemidji Brave

    American Gaints LLC obtained Minnesota’s Bemidji Brave Muffler Man on October 31, 2025. This was a result of conversations with Morell's Chippewa Trading Post that began in 2022. The giant has stood in Bemidji since 1966 and comes with some great history which we will include in the display. Plans are that the statue will be moved to the AGM when it has been restored and repaired. We expect this will happen sometime in 2026 but the exact time is unknown.

  • Astro Oil Space Man

    The first Space Man ever made by International Fiberglass was made for the Astro Oil Co and he toured a few Astro service stations in the LA area. By the 70s he was falling apart at a Maywood location and eventually disapeared. Lee Woods is bringing a replica to the American Giants Museum in 2026 to be on display for a year or two.

  • Massive Muffler Man Haul

    In the fall of 2025 American Giants was able to obtain a number of vintage Muffler Men on the East Coast. A custom giant bade for the Albany Beverage Company was obtained and plans are now being made for it’s possible installation at the American Giants Museum in 2026.

  • Exhibit Work

    New exhibits are planned for the 2026 tourist season including an original giraffe head from International Fiberglass. In addition we hope to add a Mercury Cougar to the Esso Tiger display. Both of these cats were used for advertising in the 1960s and American Giants has one of the few cougars that have survived.

  • New Rotating Exhibits

    During the 2025 season visitors were able to get a close up look at the leg and foot section of a Uniroyal Gal. However with the arrival of Lumi at the Country Aire Resturant just around the corner from the AGM, this rotating exhibit is retired.

    In 2026 we hope to replace this exhibit with an original Girrafe head made at International Fiberglass to showcase the many animal figures they made. In addition an Indian Brave head is on display in the rotating exhibit area.

  • Viking Giant Installed

    In 2025 American Giants and the Atlanta Betterment Fund with the help of Re-Giant was able to set up a new giant on the grounds. You can now see an original International Fiberglass Viking Carpet giant on your visit. This giant from VA was rescued by Benjamin and Thomas Gabrysiak of New Jersey in 2023 and was fully restored by Re-GIant in 2025. Enjoy it now at the American Giants Museum.

  • Phillips 66 Cowboy Installed

    In May 2025 the AGM started getting more giants and Muffler Men to fill out the remaining platforms. The first arrival was in more than a year was an original Phillips 66 Cowboy made in the late 60s.

    This giant was discovered in Gray, GA and was recovered from the woods and fully restored by Mark Cline in 2025. The giant is now on display and tells the story of the Phillips 66 Cowboys and their marketing campaign.

  • Original Texaco Big Friend Discovery

    In the fall of 2025 we were able to find an original Texaco Big Friend head in Newport, RI. This head was transported to IL and may possibly join the collection at the museum in 2026.
